Our team
Gaye started at Stuarts in 2003 and specialises in managing client payrolls, providing tenancy services and support, incorporating new companies and overseeing client bank accounts. Prior to joining Stuarts, Gaye gained administration experience across a number of industries including medical centres, freight forwarders and accounting firms. Gaye was previously involved in the Ashhurst Pohangina Netball Club covering such roles as player, Manager, Committee member and past Chairperson and is currently a volunteer at Arohanui Hospice.
Aimee Gray
CPP, CA, Director
Aimee joined the Stuarts team in 2003 and became a Shareholder & Director in 2011. She is the lead technical advisor for the team, specialising in tax, accounting and restructures. She is passionate about working alongside many businesses from a variety of industries to generate long term holistic solutions for her clients. Aimee was a national finalist (top 3) for the 2013 NZICA Leadership Awards (Outstanding New Member). She holds several voluntary trust and treasury roles including being an inaugural trustee of Te Awa Charitable Trust. Aimee has two young children who keep her busy when she isn't at work.
Craig Purdy
CA, CPP, BAcc, DipMgt, Director
Craig joined Stuarts in 2005 as a business advisory consultant. In 2011 he became a Shareholder & Director. He is the lead business, IT, HR, MYOB and Xero adviser for the team. Craig has over 30 years of hands-on management experience around all facets of business: branch & general management, directorships, sales & marketing, HR, IT, procurement, project management and training. Craig is a Director of The Factory, a Trustee of Palmerston North Boys High School and the Member Advocate for Athletics New Zealand. He is a former three times New Zealand 400m champion, and represented New Zealand at the 1st World Junior Track & Field Championships in Athens, Greece in 1986 and the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland.

Sheila started at Stuarts in 1998 and is our Practice Manager and senior accountant, providing monthly hands on support to clients. Sheila prepares tailored cash and management reports, interim accounts, annual accounts and provides GST and FBT advice. In addition, Sheila coordinates and facilitates Director and Trustee meetings for smaller companies and family trusts. She is our expert in paperless office systems, customer focus initiatives and driving efficiencies in daily processes and systems. Sheila has just stepped down (after many years) as Treasurer for Abbeyfield PN Inc, a non profit organization, established for flatting for seniors.
After 23 years at the ANZ Bank, Angela joined the team at Stuarts in November 2011. Angela brings a wealth of experience from the banking sector where she coached, trained and supported branch managers and their staff, recruited new staff, conducted quality assurance reviews and compiled monthly and quarterly performance reports. Angela provides support to clients through tailored cash and management reports, preparing annual accounts, income tax, GST and FBT returns.
Cherie joined Stuarts in September 2020. Cherie’s accounting career began in 2009, initially as an administrator attending to Payrolls, PAYE returns and tax administration. Over the years Cherie made the transition to accountancy preparing GST returns, Income Tax returns and Annual Accounts. Prior to this Cherie spent many years working in the banking and mortgage broking industries.
Cherie is currently studying towards gaining her Accounting Technician designation with Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand. When not at work Cherie enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening and walking.
